Leroy Thompson is much better known for his excellent books on uniforms & insignia, but he really did a spectacular job on 'Ragged War'. By all rights, this book should become known as one of the classic works in the field, and would be extremely useful to young military officers & NCOs who are on active service or about to be deployed/5.

However, today this book is somewhat dated but still provides excellent historical perspective of various conflicts from all /5(4).
